Though the majority of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are located in the South, campaigning on behalf of these institutions remains a full-time job.

 
 

For more than 150 years, Morehouse College has fulfilled its mission to produce academically superior, morally conscious leaders for the conditions and issues of today. For over 50 years, the Greater Los Angeles Morehouse Alumni Association (GLAMAA) has worked tirelessly to support the mission, goals, alumni and students of our beloved institution.

Formally known as the Los Angeles Morehouse Club, GLAMAA is a public-benefit nonprofit organization that was formed to:

  1. Support and advance the interests of Morehouse College and its alumni who reside in the Greater Los Angeles area.
  2. Foster interest among prospective students, provide scholarships and/or financial aid, as well as mentoring to existing students of Morehouse College from the Greater Los Angeles area.
  3. Promote Morehouse College to the community.
